BackerKit surveys are coming!
over 2 years ago – Mon, Nov 22, 2021 at 10:53:30 PM

Hi friends!

Soon, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards. The survey will also allow you to upgrade your pledge or purchase add-ons if you would like to.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but we will be sending them out progressively over this week so you will have it soon!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://worldbuildersjournal.backerkit.com/.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account.

Thanks!

Setting Up BackerKit + the Worldbuilder’s Journal Roadmap
over 2 years ago – Tue, Nov 16, 2021 at 01:22:21 PM

Hello friends. After a very hectic last week of the Kickstarter we have finally gotten ourselves in order and are excited to share our projected timeline for this project. Here is a brief roadmap for the dates we currently know.

As you have undoubtedly noticed, information is sparse at the moment, but we’ll add to the roadmap as we have more information. What we can promise is to keep you up to date on how the project is going. To that effect, we’ve built in a deadline for ourselves to provide a report by the first of January, 2022.

As we finish up the pre-order store and send out surveys this next week, we will also be finalizing our order numbers and putting our last polish on the journal pages to make sure they are perfect.

We cannot express to you how thankful we are for your support of this project or how excited we are to see the worlds you will build. Seriously, thank you.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to let us know!

What a ride!
over 2 years ago – Tue, Nov 09, 2021 at 02:05:32 PM

To all of you who pledged your support to this project, we are humbled and grateful. Thank you for helping this vision materialize. We can't wait to see the worlds you create.

What Happens Next:

As the funding stage of this project comes to a close your credit cards will be charged. If there are any problems Kickstarter will follow up with you but don’t be afraid to message Seth or I with questions. We will be following up within a week to update you on the path to fulfillment as we order journals, finish up design on some mini pack content and tighten up the Guide. We’re hoping that once we have a sense of where we stand with finances we will be able to offer some more Mini Packs we missed in the stretch goals.

Seth is currently at a conference but when he returns both of us will be working on the pledge manager and follow up surveys so you can get those sweet, sweet add-ons.

After we’ve got fulfillment in hand we will begin work on creating a store to continue selling The Worldbuilder’s Journal and its accompanying products. Please note that the store will have higher prices than the Kickstarter, so if you want to get something at a discounted price, now is your chance.

We’ll keep you posted every step of the way and we’re so excited to have you join us on this journey.

Thank you again to all our supporters, James and the Worldbuilder’s Journal Team

The Final Countdown, and Stretch Goal Update
over 2 years ago – Mon, Nov 08, 2021 at 10:35:30 PM

Here we are. Because of you all, this project is becoming a reality and then some. We're so grateful to all of you.

We are eager to get as many of our mini packs in your hands as possible so we've shuffled our stretch goals a bit moving the Tech and Economy mini pack to combine with the organizer pack at the $15,000 stretch goal tier (got it pictured below).

If, with one final almighty push, we can make that threshold we'd be thrilled to provide another mini pack to our growing collection. Tell your friends about the project! And don't forget, we'll be offering pdfs of mini packs and a Kickstarter exclusive minipack pdf bundle of the journal pages as add-ons.

We're so stoked on y'all, thanks for joining us on this awesome journey,

James and the Worldbuilder's Journal Team

Wow! Magic and Mythology mini-pack now available!
over 2 years ago – Mon, Nov 08, 2021 at 01:43:05 PM

Hot dang! I nearly choked on my oatmeal!

So excited to announce that the Magic and Mythology minipack is now available physically and as a pdf. This was the minipack that I was most excited to bring y'all (which is why we put it first!). It's going to modify The Worldbuilder's Journal to better support your magic systems and mythology. So you can dive deep into the mysteries of the arcane with your visitants.

We're thrilled beyond belief!

With just a little bit of time left (~28 hours as of this writing) we're hoping to knock out even more stuff to expand the versatility of this modular notebook. Tell your friends! Especially folks that like a little magic in their settings.

As ever, we're deeply grateful for you all, thanks for your support!
