We Made Something Special For You
over 1 year ago – Wed, Aug 03, 2022 at 10:02:40 PM

We hope everyone is enjoying their copy of the Worldbuilder’s Journal! In fact, we’d really like to hear from you about it. As we begin to establish an online store we need reviews from folks who are using it and feedback so we can improve future versions of the product. James whipped up this google form to collect your feedback and reviews, some of which may appear on our site!

In exchange for your feedback (whether you loved The Worldbuilder’s Journal or are have yet to be wowed by it) we want to give you something we put together just recently. James recorded The Worldbuilder’s Guide as an audiobook style mp3 for your listening pleasure. We think this guide is a great starting point for worldbuilders and we’re thrilled to be able to offer it in a format that suits even more people.

Here's the link to that form again so you can get your audiobook!

With all that I think it’s time we put this baby to bed. There won’t be any more updates coming from us in the foreseeable future via Kickstarter but we’re so glad that you joined us on this ride and would love to stay in touch. Definitely join us on our Discord Server (a vibrant growing community of people passionate about worldbuilding), on our Facebook page, Instagram, or Twitter to stay updated on our happenings.

Just one more time we want to say thank you. Creating this Journal has been a joy and we can’t wait to make tons more of them and ultimately expand it to make it even more useful to worldbuilders of every stripe.

Yours,

The WorldCraft Club Team

PDFs Away!
almost 2 years ago – Wed, Jun 29, 2022 at 05:19:47 AM

This one is super brief. Just wanted to let you all know that the pdfs should be in your inboxes now. We think we got the distribution lists fine tuned but there might be some duplicate emails. If you bought any pdf items and, for whatever reason, we missed you please don't hesitate to drop us an email.

We know a lot of you have received your journals and we're getting some great feedback, we're thrilled that we were able to get this out to you all in good time. If you haven't gotten yours yet the shipping tracker email should be in your inbox for you to see where your package is at.

Dang, we got there! There's something profoundly satisfying about seeing an idea go from a speculative text from Seth, 'hey, we should make a disc journal' to physically putting the things in your hands. We're delighted that y'all seem to love them and are thrilled that you joined us on this journey in these early steps. We got a lot more we want to do, we hope you'll connect with us and stick around for the long haul.

Lots of love,

James & the WorldCraft Club Team

Brace Yourselves! The Worldbuilder's Journal is on its way!

Packed and Shipped!

In the last few days the final pieces of the puzzle fell into place with the outstanding items landing on Seth's doorstep. After a furious evening of packing, going over fulfillment reports, and printing a lot of shipping labels we got the packages out the door and to the post office. Those of you who ordered physical products can expect to receive an email from us shortly with your package tracking number. Shipping times vary but we're hoping to have all, including our international friends', products delivered by the end of July. Many will be much sooner.

Many red boxes with the Worldbuilder's Journal ouroboros logo and the WorldCraft Club logo are piled on a dining room table.

Several piles of mini pack pages are strewn across a table along with cardboard boxes, key chains. James is eating while tinkering with a computer.

The Last Steps

We owe you some pdfs! The Worldbuilder's Guide is going through layout and should be done shortly. We also created nifty explainers for each of our pages that'll help you get the most out of The Worldbuilder's Journal.

Keep in touch!

We want to know what you make with these journals. Part of our conviction about worldbuilding is that worlds were meant to be explored and shared. As you get your journals and start to fill them out, reach out to us with some pictures of what you're making. We also really want to hear your thoughts on The Worldbuilder's Journal, how it's working for you and ideas on where we can take it in the future.

Here's where you can find us:

We're super grateful for all your support on this. Seth and I could not have made this product happen without your help and we are beyond excited to put it in your hands!

Getting the Last Components + Putting the Boxes Together
almost 2 years ago – Wed, May 18, 2022 at 04:00:11 AM

Hey friends, we have received most of the components for the Worldbuilder's Journals and will be spending the next few weeks getting all of the orders together while we wait for the last pieces to get here. This means we should be able to stick to our goal of mailing everything by mid-June, which is a few weeks earlier than our estimate. Fingers crossed, all the pieces land as they should.

We are incredibly excited for you to get your hands on these journals and start building awesome worlds! I've attached a short video showing the journal itself.

Expect to hear from us soon regarding any final notes (and make sure your addresses are up to date!)

Approaching the Finish Line
almost 2 years ago – Sat, Apr 30, 2022 at 09:35:34 PM

As of yesterday, everything we need to fulfill this Kickstarter has been shipped from our manufacturing partners and is on its way to our door!

It's wild to think about how far we've come, from a crazy idea to a prototype to a fully fleshed out Worldbuilding Journal. And it's all been made possible by YOU, our amazing backers!

Our hope is that we'll be able to start filling pledges by the end of May and most of you will have your Worldbuilding Journals by mid-June. We'll keep you up to date on things as they develop and will send out another update once we have everything in hand.

If you know anyone who would be interested in a Worldbuilder's Journal, this is the last opportunity to get them at the pre-retail price (www.worldbuildersjournal.com). I can't wait for each of you to get your hands on your Worldbuilder's Journal and start building amazing worlds!
